The night before I was supposed to die my brother arrived in my hospital room. I hadn’t seen him for forty years. I pushed the button on my morphine pump. We talked about riding rollercoasters as boys until I fell asleep. In the morning his hand was resting on mine.


Marc Simon’s short fiction has appeared in over 15 literary magazines. Five of his one-act plays have been winners in new works contests.
