1196 new cases in Victoria, three deaths; Man arrested over missing Victorian campers Carol Clay and Russell Hill; Queensland COVID-19 testing row resolved; NSW records 248 total new cases

Deputy Premier Steven Miles said the Queensland government welcomed confirmation from the Federal Government that the Commonwealth would continue funding free PCR tests for vaccinated travellers entering Queensland.

He said this meant arrivals would not be required to pay for their own tests.

“I note that (Federal Health Minister) Greg Hunt had said that had always been the case,” Mr Miles aid.

“Of course, it would have been nice if he had clarified that sooner.”

Mr Miles accused the government of trying to distract from its own leadership tensions.
